M&D's famous Outbreak has returned for 2019

The ultimate Halloween scarefest has returned to Strathclyde Park.

M&D’s Outbreak is back with its new spine-chilling theme, Gateway to Hell.

And with danger lurking around every corner, chaos will ensue as visitors run for their lives – well, that’s certainly what happened when I popped along for a sneak preview.

I was full of bravado before stepping into the unknown, but that didn’t last long.

Without giving too much away, Gateway to Hell is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Actors set the story before thrill-seekers enter at their own risk, and believe me you won’t know where, or even if, you want to look. Satan, zombies and the twins from cult horror film The Shining are among those appearing from the darkness.

The loud thuds, screaming, creepy setting and the fear of the unknown certainly sent my pulse into overdrive from start to finish.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’s, said: “We are confident that Gateway To Hell is set to be the most frightening and innovative yet in the Outbreak series.”

Gateway To Hell runs every Thursday to Sunday evening until Saturday, November 2.
