A company to continue the John Hume legacy of peace in Northern Ireland has been established.

Plans for the John and Pat Hume Foundation for Peaceful Change and Reconciliation have been underway for the last six months.

And a website and social media sites are under construction.

Peacemaker and statesman, Mr Hume was laid to rest on Wednesday following his death at the age of 83 on Monday following a short illness.

  • Mary Cosgrave, retired,
  • Dr Sean Farren, writer, academic and politician,
  • Hugh Logue, retired European Commission official and former member of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association executive,
  • Mary McIvor, PA
  • Brid Rodgers, retired politician
  • Mike Nesbitt,
  • Monica McWilliams, politician professor and former women's Coalition leader, and
