Lyon vs Barcelona
Uefa Women's Champions League Final 2018-19
Venue: Ferencváros Stadium, Budapest

Date: Saturday, May 18, 2019
Kick-off time: 5pm BST

FC Barcelona Femeni face a tall order to win the Champions League Final against the mighty Lyon Feminine on Saturday.

Lyon have dominated the women's game over the past decade, reaching eight of the last 10 Champions League finals and winning the competition the last three years running.

The French side can make it four in a row with a victory in Budapest, but Barca are out to make history as the Blaugranes - the first Spanish side to ever reach the final - bid to reign supreme in Hungary.

Prediction: Lyon 2-1 Barcelona

While Barca look strong with stars such as Lieke Martens, Marta Torrejon and England international Toni Duggan, Lyon will be confident of victory.

The French side boast Ada Hegerberg in their attack, and at just 23, the Ballon d'Or winner could become the cornerstone of more success for the club.

Lyon's record speaks for itself: they have the most UCL titles (5), consecutive titles (3) and final appearances (8) since 2010, winning it three times.

In contrast, Barca are appearing in their first ever final.

The two sides met in the 2017-18 UCL quarter-finals. Lyon won 2-1 at home before a 1-0 away victory sent them through 3-1 on aggregate.
