Lyon send clear Moussa Dembele transfer message amid Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United links

Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has spoken out about the future of Moussa Dembele amid transfer links with Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United.

The 23-year-old moved to Lyon from Celtic back in 2018 for £19.7 million and has since starred for the French side, bagging 15 league goals last season and scoring eleven times in 19 Ligue 1 matches this term.

This form has led to speculation aplenty in regards to the former France under-21 international's future back in his homeland.

Chelsea had been heavily linked with Dembele after their transfer ban was lifted, though the interest is said to have cooled off of late.

This is since Chelsea reportedly had an offer of around £34 million rejected by Lyon, according to Sky Sports.

Arsenal and Spurs have also been linked, while United reportedly sent scouts to watch the forward in action in Ligue 1 this season.

Dembele has previously spoken about his desire to stay put and that has now been echoed by the club.

Lyon President Aulas has told RMC: "We have not changed our minds. We already made this issue clear in August. Moussa is an excellent player. A player who we need. We are taking explicit measures in our recruitment to not bring someone in who will compete for his position.

"It is not a question of money. Moussa will be with us."
