Lyon chief's comments which is great news for Chelsea and Spurs ahead of summer transfer window

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said that he expects to see three major departures in the summer transfer window.

This will be music to the ears of the decision makers at Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues - who are facing a two-transfer window ban - have been linked with a move for France international Nabil Fekir, while the Lilywhites are said to be tracking his teammate Tanguy Ndombele.

Speaking after Lyon's win against Nimes on the final day of the Ligue 1 season - a game in which Ndombele netted a last minute winner - Aulas addressed the futures of his key players.

Whilst not mentioning the Spurs target by name, the Lyon president all but confirmed Fekir has played his final game for the club.

"We will work on making signings. We are going to try to lose as few players as possible," Aulas said, as reported by Get French Football News .

"We are also going to strengthen. We are quickly going to have it out with Juninho & Sylvinho.

"Effectively, Nabil (Fékir) is outside (of the 2 departures expected), because we have an understanding that he can go.

"Thanks Nabil for bringing what he brought, we have an understanding to let him go."

Fekir was close to a transfer to Liverpool last summer but it all fell through at the last minute, thus opening the door for Chelsea to make a move.

However, the Blued did not and the attacking midfielder only has one year left on his contract with Lyon, meaning he could very well be available for a knock down fee come the summer.
