Lynsey Bennett has issued a heartfelt thanks to the Irish public for their support in her Cervical Cancer battle.
The mum-of-two, who previously settled an action in the High Court over the alleged misinterpretation of her cervical smear slides, has been receiving treatment in Mexico thanks to massively supported fundraising campaign.
Ahead of returning home, the 32-year-old told how it was extremely difficult to leave those who have cared for her abroad.
In a heartfelt message, she also thanked the public for the incredible support she received in getting her treatment.
She said: "Leaving a clinic sooooo far away is terrifying because knowing that the doctors, nurses and care time who have kept you on track, cared for you and understand all you are doing are about 7,400km away by plane.
"But I am so grateful to everyone at home that’s helping as best they can from a covid safe distance to make it all happen...I’ll prob pop up a reel at some stage of all the bits...
"The face time with the girls last night had really boosted me... they had been MIA from their phones since we had gotten to chat just before I was leaving for the airport.
"This morning I am taking all I can from my bed and doing two of my machines before I have to make a juice to take the rest.
"I have a couple of hundred messages to get through as well so I hope to make a start, but thank you so so so so so much the support is next level so glad was able to get the emotions and worries out before I get home to my girls."
