A socially distant Chris Lynn has blasted Brisbane Heat to 6-178 in their BBL clash with the Sydney Thunder.
The Heat captain crashed 69 from 43 balls after opting to bat first at Canberra's Manuka Oval on Monday night.
The star No.3, and Englishman Dan Lawrence, have been forced into separate change rooms for the game and away from their teammates after breaching BBL COVID-19 protocols.
The pair were given the all-clear to play against the Thunder despite Cricket Australia investigating them for having close contact with members of the public on Saturday night.
Lynn struck his 19th BBL half-century, bringing up the milestone from 31 balls, but was caught on the boundary in the 19th over.
The 30-year-old enjoyed some solid, but not spectacular, support from the middle-order, who were tamed by the Thunder's spinners.
Opening bowlers Jonathan Cook (2-31) and Chris Green, as well as teenage legspinner Tanveer Sangha, helped keep the Heat in check for most of the innings.
Allrounder Jack Wildermuth did fire in the last three overs, smashing four sixes in an entertaining cameo of 31 from 10 balls.
Both teams dropped their opening games of BBL10 and are desperate to kick-start their tournament.
The clash was billed as a grudge match, with Thunder allrounder Ben Cutting on Sunday spilling details of his messy exit from the Heat during the off-season.
