Lyndon Dykes rumours not bothering players says Gary Holt

Livingston manager Gary Holt says the speculation surrounding Lyndon Dykes is not affecting his players.

Holt was speaking after Lille’s interest in Alfredo Morelos sparked more talk of the big Australian joining Rangers.

The club are also reported to have rejected bids from English Championship side Barnsley.

The Livi boss is relaxed and says that players moving on is “just part of the game,” but added there has been no movement and nothing to announce on Dykes.

He said: “It is part of football, players will move, players will stay and managers will move on. It is just part of the game and why we are all in it. We are in it to win games of football and to see talent coming through and moving on. We will just get on with it, simple as that.”

Holt would not be pushed on any potential replacements for Dykes and says they are always on the look out for new talent.

He added: “It is not about replacements it is about looking to improve the squad and we are always looking. That is just football in general. You cannot stand still and think your squad is complete. We will keep moving on, looking at people to see if they can improve the squad.”
