Lyle Taylor posts cryptic message following Charlton's bizarre statement on Lee Bowyer

Charlton Athletic's bizarre statement has certainly got the football world talking.

A message posted on the club's website revealed that the Addicks have failed to agree terms with Lee Bowyer regarding a new contract with the club.

Bowyer's deal is due to expire in just two weeks time, meaning that the club will be forced into finding an alternative in case they can't find an agreement in the next fortnight.

Controversy is never far away at The Valley with Roland Duchatelet still sitting at the helm, and Charlton's players have done remarkably well to keep their views to themselves.

Lyle Taylor, however, couldn't resist posting on social media.

The striker has been a revelation since arriving from AFC Wimbledon last summer, with his goals being crucial in Charlton's promotion-winning campaign.

Such was his influence, Taylor has been one of many stars who have been linked with a move away.

Taking to social media after Charlton's statement, Taylor simply tweeted: "If anyone needs me, I’ll be here..."

It remains to be seen what Taylor was talking about in his tweet, but the timing was more than coincidental.
