'Lying' Edinburgh Love Island contestant Jay is 'TV gold' say viewers

Love Island returned to screens for another exciting episode on Thursday night, and much of the drama involved Edinburgh newcomer Jay.

The 28-year-old investment banker made his debut alongside fellow newcomer Remi on Tuesday night's episode, when he immediately caught the attention of actress and influencer Ekin-Su.

Since then, the two have only grown closer — and on Thursday's episode shared a secret kiss.

Because Ekin-Su is currently coupled up with Italian entrepreneur Davide, her and Jay's undercover romantic entanglement — which saw them crawling across the floor to avoid detection — was a popular talking point among viewers.

Taking to Twitter, Love Island fans were quick to share their thoughts on the Edinburgh lad's behaviour.

One said: "Jay is stirring the pot and I'm low-key here for it".

"Ekin-Su and Jay are some of the oldest in there acting like complete children," argued a second.

A third shared: "Ekin Su kissed jay then got into bed with Davide. Violence!"

A fourth echoed: "EKIN SU!!!!! She made Jay her side piece."

"IT'S THE AUDACITY FOR ME," a fifth exclaimed, while a sixth tweeted: "Jay is not messing around".

Another stated: "NAHHH EKIN-SU AND JAY ARE THE SNEAKIEST PPL THE LIEEES".

"The way Jay just lied to their faces," agreed an eighth.

A ninth commented: "Jay & Ekin Su are a match made in heaven they are TV gold".

Meanwhile, a tenth shared: "But that’s so smelly of Jay ngl. If you want Ekin you’re supposed to take her right in front of everybody’s eyes. What’s all that sneaking around man ew."
