A Bristol-based luxury wax melt company has moved into a bigger warehouse and is planning to create five new jobs after seeing demand for its products soar.
Sassy Shop Wax, which was previously located in Downend in the city, has moved into a 5,300 sq ft warehouse in Vertex Park, Emersons Green.
The business saw monthly sales reach £150,000 at the end of the first quarter of 2020 - and, according to founder Keely Parsons, is hoping to boost sales to £3million a year for the financial year 2020-2021.
Keely said: “We are so excited to be moving to a bigger warehouse and creating additional job opportunities for the people in Bristol in the process.”
Keely started making luxury wax melts from her kitchen at home in 2017, and began selling them through the Facebook shop.
There was so much interest that by December 2018 her products were selling out within minutes of announcing new stock.
The company now employs 18 staff and has more than 300 products and scents available, with new scents regularly being released.
Keely said she is hoping to sell her products in stores all around the UK by 2021.
Once the move to the new warehouse is complete, Keely said she also has plans to launch a range of bath and body shower gels, whipped soaps and bath bombs.
“This is such an exciting time for the company right now. I went from not making one sale in my first year to literally selling out overnight."
She added: “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us."
