Luxury train to visit Nottingham ahead of extravagant trip to the seaside

A train dubbed Britain's most luxurious is set to transport passengers from Nottingham back to 'the golden ages' of rail travel next month.

The Northern Belle, previously owned by the Orient Express company, will travel from Nottingham to Conwy and Llandudno in Wales on Friday, September 6.

Passengers will be welcomed aboard the train with a glass of champagne before sitting down to enjoy a three-course brunch.

After a four-hour journey, passengers will be given the option of staying in the town or taking a trip to Conwy Castle and Bodnant Gardens.

When they return to the train for the journey home, there will be a champagne reception followed by a five-course meal.

Passengers making the trip on the 1930s-style train have been warned to dress for the occasion.

Jeanette Snape, managing director, said: "Our train will not only take passengers to Conwy and Llandudno in Wales.

"It will also transport them back to the golden days of rail travel, when the journey was as important as the destination.

"So we do like people to dress accordingly. Jeans and trainers are definitely frowned upon."

Fares for the trip start at £260. For more information, visit www.northernbelle.co.uk or call 01270 899 681.
