Through a partnership between Gaysorn Village and Christie's Thailand, the "Unique And Iconic Watches" exhibition brought a collection of 10 legendary luxury watches from well-known collectors.
Richard Mille, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and A. Lange & Söhne were the five world-class brands represented by the 10 watches on display. The highlight included the Richard Mille Prototype RM50 Jean Todd 50th Anniversary watch that was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Jean Todd's debut in the professional motorsport sector.
"This event marks a great collaboration between Gaysorn Village and Christie's Thailand and many other partners. This event enabled watch collectors to get a closer look at the renowned luxury timepieces because Gaysorn Village is a destination for luxury watch lovers. We hope to further establish this location as a meeting place for watch lovers to connect and share interests," said Kullachat Charnsethikul, head of the watch and jewellery component of Gaysorn Village.
Also on view was a Vacheron Constantin Platinum Toledo 1952 with the rare platinum triple calendar and display moon phase. The Toledo 1952 is a re-edition of the Cioccolatone model, originally launched in the early 1950s. This particular watch is number 57 in a limited edition of 100 pieces.
Known as the Triple Six, the Rolex Triple Six Comex Sea-Dweller 16660 timepiece was launched in 1978 and produced until 1988. A rare stainless steel automatic wristwatch that has sweep centre seconds, date and gas escape valve, the Comex (Compagnie Maritime d'Expertises) is a pioneer in professional diving field and tool watches made for safe operations at greater depths. The Calibre 3035 movement also includes the Quickset feature, which enables date adjustments by rotating the crown.
