Luxury rentals fit for footballers that are available in Merseyside now

The ECHO has taken a look at some of the most lavish rental properties that are available in the region right now.

In today's market, competition for rental properties across Merseyside is at an all time high. While the average rental price per month in Merseyside is a little over £1,000, some properties currently being marketed will cost at least three times that.

The priciest rental property currently available is in the coastal suburb of Blundellsands and boasts a pool, gym and cinema room, as well as four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Other opulent features include the massive monochrome kitchen with a central island, freestanding baths and a dressing room that spans the width of the house.

Elsewhere in nearby Crosby is a unique revamped coach house on Poplar Avenue. The colourful property has three bedrooms, all of which are en-suite, and is on the market for £3,800 per month.

The huge open plan living space features a teal kitchen and cow print dining room chairs. It also comes furnished with quirky décor, including leopard print sofas and walls.

While being a stone's throw from the coast is a plus, the coach house also benefits from an outside decked patio.

In Hightown, an affluent village situated a little further along the coast in between Crosby and Formby, is another huge house for rent with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Located on Elmcroft Lane, it has a footprint of more than 3,400 sq ft.

Setting you back £3,000 a month, the house has numerous character features and a designer Villeroy & Boch bathroom.

Over the water in Higher Bebington on the Wirral is a huge house available for £3,250 a month, or £750 per week, via Strutt & Parker.

One of the many charming period features of the Brimstage home is the huge stove (Strutt & Parker)

The sandstone period property oozes charm and is located on the Leverhulme Estate in the village of Brimstage.

It has five bedrooms and four bathroom, and although it's not furnished, it does have a number of unique features such as a huge Aga stove, private parking and sprawling gardens.
