One of Britain’s smallest homes, a Grade II-listed Georgian house, is for sale and could be bought for £225,000.
The detached historial residence, is on Grimston Park Estate, in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire and measures only 10ft 5ins by 8ft 6ins and is just 408sq ft.
The home is now up for sale, complete with an underground living quarters and spiral staircase.
Described as a property that is “steeped in history”, the estate the house sits on has been a frequent haunt for the British monarchy since the 19th century.
It is one of two gatehouses on the estate, and can be found at the entrance of the Georgian country house at the park.
Its sister house went on sale for a quarter of a million pounds in 2020.
The house’s mezzanine area is complete with olive green wood planks and vintage-style wall lights.
A 13ft long basement sits below the property with a tiny living area, kitchen, and bathroom kitted out.
The 241 sq ft basement includes yellow walls, a sunroof and tiled flooring.
French doors lead to a sunken garden with shrubs and a seating area.
The exterior is built from Limestone Ashlad blocks, and a figure of a warrior can be seen kneeling on the stepped rooftop.

Grimston Park manor, where the property is located, once hosted James VI of Scotland, who visited the area on his way to become the king of England.
The RAF also utilised the property during the Second World War.
