Luxury castle scoops Hotel Restaurant Team of the Year

Glenapp Castle now holds the title of Hotel Restaurant Team of the Year.

The 17-bedroom luxurious castle hotel picked up the top accolade at The Hotel Catey Awards 2019, the industry standpoint when it comes to excellence.

Glenapp, in Ballantrae, has had a good haul this year when it comes to awards, as they are fresh from scooping up the award for ‘Independent Hotel of the Year’ at the CIS awards and picking up another at the Boutique Hotelier Awards.

Jill Chalmers, Managing Director at Glenapp Castle, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that the team has been awarded ‘Hotel Restaurant Team of the Year’.

“The food and service at Glenapp is always excellent, and for this to be honoured by the Hotel Cateys is the perfect reward for all of the team’s hard work.

“I’m so pleased and very proud - well done!”

Glenapp Castle is hidden away in 36 acres of stunning gardens and woodland.

The hotel’s restaurant team prides themselves on using local produce for its freshness and excellent quality that is available in Ayrshire.

All the restaurant’s fish and shellfish are line-caught, or hand-dived off Scotland’s west coast, and the game comes from local estates from across Ayrshire.

Beef, lamb, and pork are farmed only 17 miles from the castle.

The Hotel Catey Awards 2019 took place on Friday, November 22 at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
