Luxury cars vandalised with corrosive substance on Gosforth street

Two luxury cars were vandalised with a corrosive substance which peeled back the paintwork.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the two expensive cars were targeted in a busy Newcastle street last month.

Between 8am and 11am on Tuesday, July 23, a corrosive substance was poured over a white Audi A4 and silver Porsche Panamera.

The expensive cars were parked on Lansdowne Terrace in Gosforth and the substance has significantly damaged the paintwork.

Shocking images of the damage to the two cars were shared by the force as they appealed for any witnesses.

An investigation has been launched by Northumbria Police and officers are now appealing to the public for information, asking anyone who might have seen the incident, or who might have dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.
