Luxury £3k-a-night villa where Harry Maguire was staying during ill-fated Mykonos holiday

This is the luxury £3,000-a-night Greek villa complex where England star Harry Maguire stayed during his ill-fated holiday in Mykonos.

The eight bedroom exclusive retreat, which boasts an infinity pool and a children’s plunge pool, overlooks the stunning Paraga Beach.

Locals said the Manchester United defender left last weekend and it has been empty ever since.

One local woman said: “Harry was staying here but I have not seen anyone here for two days.”

And a maintenance worker added: “Harry Maguire and his group left three days ago late at night. The property is currently empty.

“We get a lot of famous footballers and other famous people staying here.”

Maguire, 27, was staying with his girlfriend Fern Hawkins, 26, and other family members at the stunning residence which overlooks the Aegean Sea and is just a few hundred yards from the beach.

Hidden away behind a stone wall, it has impressive views over the bay.

On Tuesday Maguire was handed a suspended prison sentence of 21 months and 10 days after being found guilty in his absence of assault and attempted bribery after a seven hour trial on the island of Syros.

Maguire maintains his innocence and is already planning to lodge an appeal.

His defence team hope crucial video evidence will prove his innocence as they attempt to overturn his conviction.

His lawyer believes footage filmed during his arrest at a police station on Mykonos will show he was attacked by officers.

And they believe medical evidence will show the defender was injured during the alleged assault.

They also say they have forensic proof to back up their claims that Maguire’s sister Daisy, 20, was injected with a substance by two mystery ‘Albanian’ men, which sparked the street brawl which led to his arrest.

He has been backed by Man Utd despite being dropped from the England squad, while Maguire himself remains hopeful of a successful appeal after suggesting on social media that "the truth" will not remain "hidden".

Maguire said: "I remain strong and confident regarding our innocence in this matter - if anything myself, family and friends are the victims."
