Luxurious Edinburgh brunch spot opens new venue with all pink decor

A new brunch spot has now opened in Edinburgh city centre in one of the city's much loved former restaurants.

Last month, Edinburgh Live reported that Laila would be launching their second venue in the capital, as they took over the space once occupied by Pomegranate.

Owned by the same group, the Middle-Eastern inspired restaurant had shut for good in 2021, with the brunch lunch and cocktail spot replacing it.

Quickly becoming a popular venue on Cockburn Street, Laila informed customers that their second venue would be opening its doors on Thursday, after decorating the venue in their classic pink colours.

With the outside of the building covered in stunning flower displays, staff shared a sneak peak of inside the new restaurant, adorned with a chandelier and neon pink signage.

Including classics from the Old Town venue, the new menu will also include some specials only available at Antigua Street.

Speaking on social media, Laila said: "We’ll open our pink doors from 10am-5pm tomorrow (Thursday) after two months of hard work and your usual last minute hiccups.

"The next two weeks will be crucial for our new team to get to know old Laila signatures drinks and food as well as some new additions available only at our New Town location, so please be kind as we work together on providing some brunch goals and picture perfect opportunities!"
