Luton Town star admits Bristol Rovers striker deserves player of the month award despite both being nominated

Luton Town's Jack Stacey admits Jonson Clarke-Harris deserves to win the PFA League One player of the month award.

The award is voted for by fans, with six players nominated.

Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris has been nominated after netting eight goals in seven games in March - including two world class strikes.

Stacey is also up for the award after scoring two goals from right-back and also assisting two - including setting one up against the Gas themselves.

Bristol Rovers star Jonson Clarke-Harris gets his just deserts for goalscoring exploits in March

However, the honest defender said on social media that the Rovers striker deserves the award.

He said: "Very happy to be nominated. Clarke-Harris has my vote for his two worldies alone, never mind his other six but thank you to my parents and any other Luton fans that have voted for me."

Also up for the award is Buton Albion's Lucas Akins, Barnsley's Adam Davies, AFC Wimbledon's Adam Ramsdale and Doncaster Rovers winger Mallik Wilks.
