Luton Town handed boost ahead of Leeds United clash

Leeds United will be targeting a third straight Championship win when they resume their campaign with a trip to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town next Saturday.

The contest will mark a return to away day duties for the Whites who have been at home in their last two matches, defeating both QPR (2-0) and Blackburn Rovers (2-1) respectively.

And Marcelo Bielsa's troops could not have wished for a more favourable looking fixture to extend their winning run than against a Luton outfit who have struggled for form since returning to the Championship.

So far this term, Graeme Jones' Hatters have struggled for consistency, winning just four of their opening 16 league games, losing 10.

But despite the Hatters' struggles to adapt to life back in the second-tier, you can guarantee that Bielsa and Leeds will not take them lightly.

The Hatters, who last faced Leeds in a league game back in January 2008, currently have much better injury luck than Bielsa's side so far this season.

And they could be boosted ahead of Leeds' trip down south by the news experienced striker Danny Hylton is eyeing a return to action following an extended period on the sidelines, with Jones having no other significant first-team injury concerns.

"We’ve got a real healthy group of players to choose from, which I think reflects the work of the coaching staff, the medical staff, sports science staff," Jones said last month regarding his side's good injury luck.

"I don’t want to speak too early as we’re only in October, but you want the availability to be there for you."

The only slight concern that boss Jones may have is that striker James Collins is one booking away from a one-match ban, meaning he will have to tread carefully against the Whites.
