Luther fans call for Alice Morgan to join Killing Eve’s Villanelle in epic crossover: ‘This needs to be a thing’

It’s the crossover everyone wants.

Luther fans have demanded Ruth Wilson’s Alice Morgan join forces with Jodie Comer’s Killing Eve assassin Villanelle after the BBC teased viewers with what a potential interaction between the serial killers could look like.

The teaser showcases the pair in conversation whilst Villanelle makes breakfast and Morgan brushes her hair. Hinting at what the pair would discuss if they were to live together in a crossover, the duo happily chat about their killer-like tendencies and successful murders.

Fans of the shows took to social media to start a campaign for the collaboration.

One user wrote: “I think Alice in her blonde wig needs to be in next series of Killing Eve as her long lost relative imagine the mischief they could both get up to.”

Another commented: “Is it wrong to think this would be AMAZING?! If it is I don’t want to be right...”

A third added: “This needs to be a thing.”

Following Luther’s return to screens, over the weekend, Idris Elba revealed co-star Hermione Norris really did spit on him during a heated scene on the show.

Elba told how he was left with Norris’ saliva on his face before crew told the pair to end the scene.

Meanwhile, Comer has gripped fans with her role as the trained killer on Killing Eve.

On Thursday the BBC unveiled two brief snippets of footage, teasing that the show is set to return sooner than viewers expected.

The teaser, which shows Sandra Oh as MI5 agent Eve alongside Comer, is part of a longer show reel for their upcoming slate of dramas for 2019.

Oh’s character can be seen facing off with her husband, while Villanelle can be seen laughing maniacally despite looking considerably worse for wear, with bruises and scratches all over her face.

The show, which has received widespread critical acclaim, has already picked up a slew of award nominations for the coming year.

So far, Oh has picked up Best Actress nominations ahead of the SAG, Critics’ Choice and Golden Globes ceremonies.
