Luss boxer Hannah Rankin to fight for two world titles in Bonfire Night bout

Hannah Rankin’s Bonfire Night bout with veteran Maria Lindberg will now be a double world title fight.

Originally due to battle for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Welterweight crown, the Luss fighter will now also square off for the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) belt she won in 2019.

And the fight is set to be held at one of the world’s most prestigious venues - Tottenham Hotspur’s £1bn London ground.

The bout will take place in a suite at Tottenham Hotspur's £1bn stadium. (East Kilbride News)

Speaking to the Lennox after the fight was announced earlier this year, Hannah said: “Maria’s incredibly experienced.

“I don’t like to pick the easy option with anything I choose to do. If you’re fighting for a world title then you should be fighting someone who is an experienced operator. Maria’s fought for multiple world titles.

“It makes me even more fired up that I know I have someone coming who will be having her final chance at getting a world title.”

Rankin against Lindberg will be live on Fightzone.uk on Friday November 5.
