The wreck of sunken ship Lusitania has been gifted to a Kinsale museum.
The ship sank off the Old Head of Kinsale in 1915.
Parts of the wreck have been uncovered over the years and have been donated to the Old Head of Kinsale Museum.
The owner of the wreck US businessman Greg Bemis signed over the remains of the wreck today.

Con Hayes from the museum has said that the ship is as important as the Titanic but is often forgotten about.
He said on RTE’s Morning Ireland: “We have been commemorating the Lusitania, of course, because we built the Lusitania memorial garden at the Old Head.

He also said that he is planning to build a full scale museum dedicated to the wreck which allows its story and history to be shared.
The ship went missing on this day in 1915 and was the largest ship in the world at the time.
The wreck saw the death of 1,201 people who were on board after it was torpedoed by a German U-boat.
