The Black Panther star has donned everything from metallic hair accessories to multicoloured eyeshadow and an electric blue lip. However, for 2019, she's taken her statement looks one step further by adding coloured contact lenses.
During the promotional tour of her latest thriller flick, Us, the actress has used the unconventional accessory to elevate her outfits.
Possibly inspired by the horror genre, Nyongo'o converted her natural brown eyes to a striking red at the UK screening of the film. Her new colourful eyes were accentuated by a dramatic smokey eye and black lipstick, as well as a matching sparkly crimson Attico dress.
It turns out that matching your dress to your contact lenses isn't the only option.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Nyong'o wore an equally eye-catching hot pink jumpsuit, this time, with contrasting yellow contact lenses.
It may be an experimental way of colour-blocking, but you have to admit, she rocks it.
