Lula has revealed she caught Covid-19 at the start of this year, and is fortunate to have recovered, although her symptoms are still "lingering".
The pop legend, who is 72, was speaking to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on ITV's Good Morning Britain this morning when she gave them the news.
She said she’d had the potentially fatal virus ‘for a few weeks’ and, six months on, the effects of the illness were still ‘lingering’.
The Shout hitmaker said: "I actually got it in January, I was really lucky because I didn't have to go to hospital, but I've noticed that I am still tired and have this little cough sometimes... it's lingering.
"I don't know if I could say it's long covid but it is lingering."
She continued, via videolink: "I think I was lucky that I wasn't laid out for three, four or five months, I had it for a few weeks, I didn't have to go to hospital."
Guest presenter Richard, whose own looks are age-defying at 65, asked the singer what the secret to her youthful appearance.
Lulu replied, jokingly: "I wake up looking like this every morning, ha-ha!
"I got up at the crack of dawn, I put on make-up and couldn't be bothered to do my hair so I decided to keep this hat on."
The actress and singer is the brand ambassador for Time Bomb, a skincare range that is said to targets the tell-tale signs of ageing, focusing on loss of moisture and loss of collagen.
Continuing to speak about coronavirus, Lulu also revealed that she’d had both jabs, so she felt a little more confident about not having any long-lasting repercussions from the illness.
"I've had two vaccinations, I've got antibodies up the wazoo!" She laughed.
The singer was married to hairdresser John Frieda, the father of her son Jordan, aged 43, During the 1950s Lulu was married to Bee Gee Maurice Gibb.
