Manchester United defender Luke Shaw claimed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard set his side up to avoid defeat rather than win after the two sides played out a drab goalless draw at Old Trafford.
The United full-back expressed his frustration after the Old Trafford stalemate, in which the home side dominated but were stopped by Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy. Marcus Rashford was denied on multiple occasions, as United failed to win at home for the fifth game in succession.
Shaw told MUTV after the game that it was a disappointing feeling to drop points.
"Two points dropped really," he said. "I feel like we created the better chances, their keeper made wonderful saves at times. I feel also we defended much better than we have, especially against a good team like Chelsea, who have high quality players all around the pitch.
"I feel like they didn't create much and we did well in that aspect, but higher up the pitch we should have took a goal or two, and taken the points.
"It felt like neither team wanted to lose, that's what people were saying and you could feel that with how they turned up with their formation. But we always want to win every game. We'll take one point rather than zero but we're disappointed that we didn't take three.
"Their keeper kept them in the game and we need to keep pushing. We need to get our focus back and there's a massive game on Wednesday that we need to win."
United will turn their attentions to Wednesday night's Champions League game against RB Leipzig and Shaw believes they have now turned a corner under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He added: "Even when we're on the pitch now it feels different to how it did before. Before was maybe not too concentrated and a lot of sloppy silly individual mistakes. I think we've learned from that, worked hard in training and we need to build on this today and take it to Wednesday.
"I think it's very good for the manager to have those changes that he can make, but also good for the team as everyone wants to play, everyone's pushing. The ones on the bench want to be in the starting 11 so it's good to have that healthy competition and it's going to push the lads."
