TikTok duo Luke & Sassy Scott have broken their silence on the incident that led to Ant Middleton and his brother Dan Middleton being disqualified from The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition 2025.
ICYMI: In April, rumours spread that a team was dropped from the celebrity edition of the competition following an alleged clash. According to multiple sources, tensions flared during a filming break abroad after Dan reportedly made cutting comments about the TikTok stars.
At the time, a Ten spokesperson confirmed that a team had been disqualified from the competition after a “breach of the production’s code of conduct”, adding that the incident occurred “on a day off from production”.
“Network 10 takes the health, safety and well-being of all contestants seriously,” the statement read. “Following a breach of the production’s code of conduct by one contestant, on a day off during production, a team from The Amazing Race Australia was disqualified and swiftly sent home.”
While Ant Middleton, star of SAS Australia, later spoke out to PEDESTRIAN.TV, the TikTokers remained silent on the matter, until now.
In a new interview, the pair revealed what allegedly went down between filming of The Amazing Race Australia Celebrity Edition.
“Dan Middleton approached us six times, making remarks and gestures that we found homophobic, offensive, intimidatory, and disturbing,” the pair told Sydney Confidential.
“Each time he (Dan) came over to us, the encounters felt increasingly more aggressive.
“At one point, he was right up in our faces, surrounded by some of the other cast members, who seemed to us to be as uncomfortable as we were.”
According to the social media stars, AFL player Brendan Fevola physically stepped between the social media stars and Dan as a way of diffusing the situation.
“He did [that] more than once,” they said.
Ant Middleton was reportedly not involved in the incident but was disqualified alongside his brother.
Sources claimed to both PEDESTRIAN.TV and to Daily Mail Australia that Fevola issued producers an ultimatum: either the Middleton brothers were removed, or he and his daughter Leni would leave.
Shortly after, Ant and Dan were sent home and edited out of the series.
Dan Middleton has yet to comment on the alleged incident, while Ant Middleton spoke out for the first time to P.TV, telling us: “Unfortunately I’m not at liberty to any information as I had absolutely nothing to do with this situation and due to confidentiality, they’re not allowed to tell me anything”.
