Beverley Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry has been admitted to hospital after reportedly suffering a major stroke.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Perry for comment.

Iconic role: Luke Perry as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210

Perry played Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995 and again from 1998 to 2000.

News of his admission to hospital comes hours after Fox announced a show revival of six new episodes. Perry was not listed to return.

Original stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling will take part as “heightened versions of themselves in a brand-new serialized drama … inspired by their real lives and relationships,” according to FOX.

Perry currently plays Archie's dad, Fred Andrews on Riverdale. It is believed he was recently shooting new episodes on the Warner Bros. lot in LA.
