Luke Perry got his son a role in Quentin Tarantino's new film because he was 'adamant' they do a movie together

Luke Perry had a very special costar for one of his final movies.

The late actor's son, Jack Perry, revealed that his dad pushed to get him a small role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

"I did some extra work," Jack said on the "Talk is Jericho" podcast with host Chris Jericho. "He was like, 'I want you to be in the same film, or collection of footage, that I am in.'"

He said his dad was "really adamant" about him doing the film with him, and that Tarantino was on board for it.

Perry died in early March at the age of 52, several days after suffering a stroke.

Jack, 21, is a pro wrestler who competes using the name Jungle Boy. He said "Once Upon in Time" is probably the "last thing" his father was in.

Jack didn't reveal much about his own role in the movie, but said viewers might see him "sitting behind someone special."

The film is Tarantino's ninth movie and is set in Hollywood in the late 1960s. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio star in the film with Margot Robbie, who plays Sharon Tate.

Jack's father had a role on the teen drama series "Riverdale" before his death. His final episode of the series aired late last month.
