Luke La Volpe performs Tartan Army classic as Scotland prepare to take on Serbia

Luke La Volpe has performed a rousing version of the Tartan Army classic 'We Have A Dream.'

The Scottish Music Awards 2020 Breakthrough Nominee performed the song on BBC Scotland last week.

The Bathgate singer made an appearance on a ‘A View From The Terrace’ on Friday and made a big impact with a brand new version of the 1982 World Cup single.

Luke was joined by members of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers to add the full Tartan Army sound, and turned John Gordon Sinclair’s original spoken word delivery into a rousing melody, for a spine-tingling new take on the fan favourite.

JSinclair, has given Luke the thumbs up on his new version and the pair have agreed to a duet on the song if Scotland win the game.

Luke is best known for his more alternative sound, including the Scottish Number One single Dead Man’s Blues, and for organising the Sofathon Singalong online festivals in aid of the Music Venue Trust, for which he was made a patron of the charity alongside Sir Paul McCartney.

He is lined up to play TRNSMT, Belladrum and Party at the Palace festivals in 2021, as well as supporting old pal Lewis Capaldi at Lytham Festival in July.

The West Lothian singer will hear if he wins the breakthrough award, and will also perform with his band, at the Specsavers Scottish Music Awards online show on November 28, in aid of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.
