Luke Keeler could face Conor McGregor in boxing world title fight if he beats Demetrius Andrade

Luke Keeler could face Conor McGregor in his first title defence if he causes an upset and is crowned WBO middleweight champion on Thursday.

Keeler faces WBO middleweight title holder Demetrius Andrade in Miami, and Eddie Hearn has said he would love to make a bout with McGregor should the 32-year-old end Andrade’s 22 fight winning run.

Hearn said: “I’d absolutely be happy to do it [make a fight between McGregor and Keeler].

“But first things first, Luke needs to win on Thursday.”

McGregor and Keeler reportedly agreed to fight in a phone call last year, although the bout never came to fruition.

And in a recent interview with ESPN, McGregor admitted that he would like to win a boxing world title within his career.
