Luke Freeman has spoken of his pride after making the move from Queens Park Rangers to join Premier League side Sheffield United.
The 27-year-old midfielder has joined the newly-promoted Blades on a three-year deal, with Sheffield United paying QPR an undisclosed club record fee.
And Freeman has expressed his delight at making the switch to the Blades, and becoming their first signing since gaining promotion to the top flight.
"Yeah, it is something that I am very proud of and I can't wait to get going," he told Sheffield United TV after signing for the Blades.
"It's been ongoing over the last few weeks and it was something that I was very keen to pursue, and I am really happy to be here.
"Sheffield United is a huge club and I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead. I am happy to be part of the squad. I knew a few of the lads from playing against them over the years. We will put the hard work in now [in pre-season] and then get going."
Freeman, who joined QPR from Bristol City in January 2017, was one of the club's star performers last season, netting eight times in 48 games for the R's, while he made a total of 112 appearances in two-and-a-half years, and scored 15 times.
Announcing his exit, QPR said in a statement that the club would like to thank Freeman for his "outstanding contribution" during his time in west London, while wishing him every success in the future.
Freeman is the second player to leave QPR this week, following the departure of striker Matt Smith, who has joined Championship rivals Millwall .
