Leeds United defender Luke Ayling is relishing the prospect of facing former club Arsenal in the Premier League.
Ayling started his career with the Gunners and won the FA Youth Cup before being released as a teenager in 2010.
He went on to have spells with Yeovil Town and Bristol City before joining Leeds in 2016.
The 29-year-old is now playing in the top flight after helping the Whites win promotion from the Championship last season.
And he will be hoping to line up against Arsenal at Elland Road following the international break on Sunday, November 22.
“I spent a lot of time there as a kid but I was only a kid then and I never really played or trained with the first team,” Ayling told LUTV.
“I don’t know anyone there and I’ve got no ties there, so for me it is just another game, but it will be nice to finally play against them in the Premier League after getting released at 18 will be nice."
Ayling did play against Arsenal in the FA Cup last season as Leeds were edged out 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
“I think we can take confidence from our first half performance (in the FA Cup tie) but we know our second half performance was nowhere near it, we need to play like we did in the first half for 90 minutes," Ayling added.
“It should be a good game of football, it will be two teams trying to win the game, playing good football and hopefully it will be us coming away with the points.
"We’ve worked so hard to get to the Premier League and play teams like this and we’ve done well so far against the top teams and hopefully we can do well again here.”
Leeds are 15th in the table with 10 points from their first eight games.
