Lukas Podolski brilliantly trolls Spurs with his nomination for Arsenal's player of the month

Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has made his vote for the Gunners' player of the month, and it is sure to delight Arsenal fans.

Unai Emery's men went unbeaten in all competitions in the month of September, winning three and drawing two of their games, with a number of impressive performances from players including Matteo Guendouzi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The club have taken to social media to ask fans who they would vote as the player of the month for September, with some names suggested.

However, former German international Podolski has suggested another name, who is getting his vote - Serge Gnabry.

The former Arsenal youngster was part of the Bayern Munich team who scored seven goals against the Gunners' fierce north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, grabbing four goals in the process in the 7-2 win.

Quoting Arsenal's question as to who should pick up the player of the month award for September, Podolski named the striker, much to the amusement of onlooking fans.

Gnabry left the Emirates Stadium in 2016 after an unsuccessful loan spell at West Bromwich Albion, but has gone from strength to strength, signing for the German Champions in 2017. The 24-year-old has gone onto score 18 goals in 50 appearances for the Bundesliga side, including his four-goal haul against Spurs.
