Lukas Julis rubs salt in Celtic wounds as Sparta hero declares he should've hit FIVE

Sparta Prague hero Lukas Julis rubbed salt in Celtic wounds as the striker declared he should've hit FIVE.

The striker destroyed Neil Lennon 's side on Thursday night as the Czechs earned a stunning 4-1 Europa League win.

Sparta had not played a league game in weeks and were without seven first-team regulars

But Julis established himself as the unlikely hero as he became the first player since Aberdeen's Eric Black in 1983 to score an opposition hat-trick at Celtic Park.

But the 25-year-old admits he was frustrated not hit bag even more goals.

He said: "I felt good about myself at training. I felt confident going into the game, but I must admit I didn't think I would score a hat-trick!

"That's certainly my best ever game for Sparta. I scored three goals, but I should have scored two more goals to be honest.

"We knew before the game that if we didn't win, we were almost certainly out.

"I actually enjoyed there being no fans in the stadium. It didn't feel right at AC Milan at all, but here in Glasgow, I felt great right from the kick off.

"Our self-confidence wasn't high after two defeats in the Europa League, especially as they were big losses.

"But this win against Celtic has given us all a huge boost and we now go back into our league campaign on Sunday against Viktoria Plzen full of confidence."
