Luka Milivojevic's message to Brandon Pierrick as youngster starts for Crystal Palace vs Derby

Luka Milivojevic was full of praise for Brandon Pierrick's display against Norwich City suggesting the youngster changed the game for the Eagles.

Pierrick entered the match in the second half and played a significant role in the build up to Connor Wickham's goal in what was an exciting display.

It seems he showed enough for Roy Hodgson to select the 18-year-old for his first Palace start in the place of Wilfried Zaha and he more than impressed his captain against the Canaries.

Milivojevic said: "Brandon's impact in the final 10 minutes was excellent. He changed the game for us with the manager brining off a defender in Martin to go for the equaliser. Brandon created the opportunity for Wilf to cross for Connor.

"I was pleased for Brandon - a proud moment for him - I was pleased for Wilf who had continued down the left-hand side despite his usual treatment and I was pleased for Connor to score a goal - that wait for the VAR decision was a nervy time."

Pierrick was one of five changes as Hodgson named a pretty strong side to but the likes of Sam Woods, Nya Kirby, Giovanni McGregor and James Daly all found a place on the bench.
