Luka Milivojevic makes 'brutal' Liverpool admission after Crystal Palace thrashing

Luka Milivojevic has heaped praise on the "clinical" Liverpool side after their 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace.

Milivojevic - who is the Eagles' captain - played the full 90 minutes where the Reds put on a show at Selhurst Park.

Takumi Minamino opened the scoring early on, before Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino made it 3-0 going into the half-time break.

Not long after the interval, Jordan Henderson put the fourth in and Firmino made it 5-0 after a fine pass from Mohamed Salah.

Salah then turned scorer, with the Egyptian scoring two before the full-time whistle and the Reds recorded their biggest ever win in the Premier League.

Roy Hodgson's Palace side didn't look out of place in the first-half and showed some moments of quality, without the killer touch that Liverpool constantly displayed in London.

Milivojevic, speaking to the BT Sport cameras after the game, has praised the league leaders - who have now extended their advantage to six points - for their ruthlessness in front of goal.

The Palace skipper said: “It’s tough honestly. It’s hard to speak after those defeats, I’ve never had something in my life like that.

"They were so clinical, I think they had eight shots and scored seven goals. They’re a very dangerous team on the counter-attack, they punished every mistake, and opened the game very well after two minutes.

"In the first-half, we had some chances, we created four or five in the first-half, maybe we should score some goals.

"But after that, counter-attack and we concede and go into half-time at 3-0 down.

"My feeling was that we didn’t deserve to be losing 3-0. Second-half goals, we tried to not drop and play the game. Brutal result, they are a top team, in the end, 7-0 is a bad feeling for us."
