Luka Milivojevic delivers strong Crystal Palace statement ahead of Wolves clash

Luka Milivojevic insists that Crystal Palace's players can "correct a lot of things" after their heavy defeat at Tottenham as the Eagles prepare to face Wolves this weekend.

The Eagles suffered their heaviest defeat in the Premier League for two seasons as they were thrashed 4-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with all four goals coming in the first half in north London on Saturday.

But captain Milivojevic said the Eagles must try and move on from the disappointment of such a heavy defeat, adding that Palace's players and coaching staff were not happy with the performance against Spurs.

“We can correct a lot of things from this game to try not to repeat in the future. Always you can make mistakes, but you have to try and keep to a minimum," Milivojevic said.

“In my opinion, we should take responsibility for this game, he [Roy Hodgson] was not happy, we were not happy, but all we can do is to try and change it for the next two games at home.

“We had a lot of confidence before the game [against Tottenham]. We had two weeks over the international break, but they are a top side and they started very sharp, very strong.

“We have to try and put this game behind us, take the positives, correct the negatives and prepare for the next two games, which are very important for us.”

And Milivojevic vowed that things would be different against Wolves at Selhurst Park on Sunday as the Eagles look to continue their unbeaten run at home in the league, which stretches back to April, when they lost to champions Manchester City.

"This team [Spurs], it is a top side but the next game, the next week will be a different game. We’re going to try to prepare for it in a different way and try to correct some things from this game."
