Luka Doncic was able to drink a ‘recovery beer’ after NBA’s first 60-point, 20-rebound triple-double

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic just had one of the best on-court performances in NBA history. But his post-game quote was just as good.

Doncic, who led the Mavericks to an improbable comeback victory for an overtime win over the Knicks, finished the game with a career-high 60 points and a career-high 21 rebounds. He also added 10 assists, which gave him the first-ever 60-point, 20-rebound triple-double in NBA history.

After destroying double teams against the Lakers on Christmas Day, he was even more impressive against New York. But for many fans, the best moment of the night happened right after the game was over.

Doncic was asked about his performance, and he seemed surprised by his own accomplishments. He then explained that he was “tired as hell” and that he needed a “recovery beer” following the win.

The 23-year-old Slovenian-born superstar, who is known to enjoy a beer on occasion, is having an absolutely absurd season on the court so far in 2022-23.

Even though the Mavs are the slowest team in the league, watching their games can be incredibly exciting because his highlights often defy all logic and reason.

According to Callie Caplan, Doncic was actually able to drink some water as well as a protein shake and — thankfully — a well-deserved post-game beer.

It is fully understandable why he didn’t just go home and play chess on his phone without at least a little bit of celebrating such a historic game.
