Luis Suarez, Yves Bissouma and three other players Liverpool are 'tipped to sign' this summer

A 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on the final day of the Premier League season saw Liverpool secure third and Champions League football for next season.

At one stage, that appeared extremely unlikely for Jurgen Klopp's side, but a fine sequence of results, accompanied by Leicester City's downturn in form, saw the tide change.

And no sooner had the whistle blown inside Anfield on Sunday afternoon, fans turned their thoughts to the upcoming transfer window.

But how likely are Liverpool to sign some of the big names that have been mentioned in the rumour mill in the last few weeks?

SkyBet has the latest transfer odds - accurate at the time of writing - and it makes for interesting reading.

It's important, however, to take most of it with a pinch of salt. The players listed below are the names who Liverpool are apparently 'most likely' to sign this summer…

It is also worth noting that due to Liverpool entering talks with RB Leipzig over a deal for Ibrahima Konate, the defender has been removed from the betting.

Aaron Ramsey 5/2

Ramsey has been at Juventus since moving from Arsenal back in 2019, and still has over two years remaining on his contract in Turin.

But since the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as Juve manager in the summer, the 30-year-old has struggled to secure regular game time.

However, one of the reasons behind his lack of minutes has been injuries. Since joining the Serie A side the Welshman has been out injured for more than 100 days.

The former Gunner has been linked with the Reds via reports in Italy, and has been touted as a possible replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.

But given his age and injury struggles over the last few years, it is hard to see the Reds making a move for the Welshman this summer.

Kylian Mbappe 2/1

Mbappe’s contract with PSG is set to expire next summer and Liverpool have long been linked with the forward.

The 21-year-old Frenchman has won three Ligue 1 titles with PSG since joining in a world-record £166million transfer from AS Monaco in 2017.

And a recent report claimed that Mbappe favours a move to Liverpool if he makes a switch to the Premier League.

However, Jurgen Klopp has regularly played down the speculation linking his side with a move for the World Cup winner.

This rumour has been doing the rounds for some time now, and one imagines it is going to run well into the summer.

Jadon Sancho 4/1

Liverpool have been tentatively linked with a move to sign the Borussia Dortmund forward, with the Bundesliga outfit said to want £80m for his services.

Manchester United were the club who were strongly linked with his signature last summer, with the Bundesliga club demanding a fee in excess of £100m 12 months ago.

However, it has been said that Dortmund are willing to accept a lower fee this summer, after a 'gentleman’s agreement' was struck to allow Sancho to leave should a suitable offer come in.

Speaking on his Dortmund future earlier this month, Sancho said: “Will I leave the club? I don’t know about my future.

“I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team. They gave me my first professional start”.

If Sancho really is available for less money than he was last summer when the transfer window opens, then the Reds just may make a move, but it is not as though they are short in attacking areas at the moment.

Yves Bissouma 4/1

Bissouma has been in fine form for Brighton this season and his displays have resulted in him being linked with a host of clubs, including the Reds.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge fan of the Mali international, who has also been touted as a possible replacement for Wijnaldum.

Bissouma is contracted until summer 2023, and Graham Potter, speaking earlier this week, refused to give his side’s supporters any assurances that the midfielder would remain with the club.

He said: “Not really. He’s contract with us. As far as I know he’s going to report to pre-season like everyone else.

“But it’s football. Like anything, in the summer we have to make some good decisions and improve the football club.”

With Liverpool expected to be in the market for a new midfielder this summer, Bissouma could well be the man they turn to.

Luis Suarez 6/1

Suarez has been linked with a return to Liverpool in recent months after an impressive first season at Atletico Madrid.

The striker spent a memorable three years at Anfield, netting 69 Premier League goals in 110 appearances before departing for Barcelona in 2014.

After six years and 147 league goals at Barca, Suarez joined Atletico last summer on a free transfer following the arrival of Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou.

Suarez has been in good form this season, scoring 21 times in 38 appearances in all competitions as Diego Simeone's side were crowned La Liga champions.

However, the reports claiming Suarez could return to Liverpool seem wide of the mark, and given his age and the attacking talent the Reds already have at their disposal, a summer deal seems unlikely.
