Luis Suarez travels to Italy... but Barcelona could still keep Juventus target

Luis Suarez has travelled to Italy amid interest from Juventus, but Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman admits the striker could yet stay at the Catalan club.

After taking part in training with his Barca team-mates on Thursday morning, the Uruguayan forward flew to Perugia for an Italian exam, which is part of the process for obtaining dual nationality.

That will allow the 33-year-old to sign for Juventus without occupying a place for non-EU players and is expected to facilitate his transfer to the Italian champions.

Suarez has been left out of the squad for Barca's two friendlies under Koeman, but after Wednesday's 3-1 win over Girona, the Dutchman told TV3: "I've spoken to him about his future.

"We are waiting to see whether or not he leaves, we still don't know.

"But we respect every contract here and if in the end he does not find a club and he stays, he will be just like any other player in the squad."
