Luis Enrique insisted Mikel Arteta's private declaration that Arsenal will win the Champions League is not-needed added motivation for Paris Saint-Germain.
The two sides go head-to-head in Budapest on Saturday night for the biggest prize in European football.
The Gunners come into the match having lifted the Premier League trophy, the first time they have been domestic champions in 22 years.
In a video that was leaked from a private party for the Arsenal players and their families last Sunday, Arteta is seen addressing those in attendance.
The Spaniard confidently stated: “On Saturday, we are going to be the champions of Europe!”
Some in France have suggested that was too confident considering Arsenal are going up against the Champions League holders in PSG.
Enrique was asked on Friday whether Arteta's words would be used in his final message to the players to help fire them up.
"I don't think there's any better motivation than winning the Champions League," the Paris boss replied.
"The rest is just strategy. But we'll see, we'll see tomorrow. We'll see who is the better and who has won.
"We have both won our championships in our respective leagues. I'm going to focus on what's positive for my team so that we can show the best of ourselves tomorrow."
Arsenal have never won the Champions League. They were beaten by Barcelona 20 years ago in their only previous final appearance.
The Ligue 1 title winners were in the same position last season when they then thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 in the final to lift the trophy for the first time.
Asked if Arsenal's desperation to break new ground could give them the edge in Budapest, Enrique responded: "It's powerful.
"But do you know how powerful it is trying to win the second Champions League in a row? It's bigger!"
