Lufthansa unveils amazing plane cabin with heated seats and double beds

An incredible first class suite with a private and spacious double bed has been unveiled.

Lufthansa has just launched a long-haul cabin called Allegris, which has a First Class Suite Plus with some luxurious trimmings.

Passengers will get to enjoy major perks such as a 43-inch entertainment screen, personal wardrobes and heated seats.

Ceiling-high walls and an entirely closable door means you can opt for complete comfort and privacy when transforming two side-by-side seats into a two-metre bed,

The seats can be operated individually, so one person can sit and one person can lie down.

The Allegris first-class cabin will be arranged in a 1-2-1 formation, with the Suite Plus seat in the middle, and solo pods on either side.

Jens Ritter, CEO Lufthansa Airlines, said of Suite Plus: "Every guest has their own understanding of premium, which is why we focus on maximum individuality and exclusivity.

"The First Class Suite Plus conveys the feeling of privacy and individuality similar to a hotel room – only at an altitude of eleven kilometres."

The Allegris business-class cabin also has heated seats which lie flat, as well as a baby bassinet seat.

Other features include wireless charging, wardrobe, personal minibar and Bluetooth.

The new airline's premium economy features hard-shell seats which allow you to recline without bothering the person behind you.

Wireless charging in the centre armrest and noise-cancelling headphones will also make kicking back and relaxing much easier.

The new seating arrangements are to be installed in the airline's 787 Dreamliner before the end of 2023, with the A350-900 the first to introduce the new first class in 2024.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Boeing 777-9, Boeing 747-8 and the Airbus A350 will eventually see the Allegris set up installed.

Lufthansa is following hot off the heels of Air France when it comes to launching a new luxury offering.

The airline has installed a new cabin for winter 2023 on its Boeing 777-200ER planes, complete with individual 'pods' where passengers can lie down on full-flat beds, and get some privacy courtesy of the sliding door.

Air France will install the pods on 12 planes (Air France)

The seats can be reclined to become beds stretching two metres long, and the pod's lights can be dimmed depending on how far passengers recline.

If you are travelling with a partner or friend, you can open up your pod to theirs to create a mini-private row and activate the 'do not disturb' function on the seats.

The centre seats have a wall that can be entirely lowered at the touch of a button to make room for a large cocktail table.

The pods also come with a 17.3-inch 4K screen, noise-reducing headphones, Bluetooth connection and a wireless charger to keep you entertained for the duration of the flight.
