Ludhiana municipal corporation employees to go on pen down strike on Thursday

LUDHIANA: Having given support to various employees' unions of different departments against implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission, the Municipal Employees' Sangharsh Committee in Ludhiana has announced a pen down strike on Thursday for three hours starting 9am.

The members of union informed the municipal commissioner that employees were complaining that they were being forced to sign the option form for the Sixth Pay Commission.

The union members claimed that they will not let the government or authorities pressurise them for any reasons. They said they will support other unions of Punjab who have announced to go on pen down strike on Thursday.
