Lucy Lawless' 'My Life Is Murder' Season 4 Pre-Sold

My Life Is Murder (tv series)

U.K.-based distributor DCD Rights has pre-sold the fourth season of New Zealand's mystery drama My Life Is Murder to a variety of territories ahead of its official launch on Feb. 27 at the London Screenings. The series, starring Lucy Lawless, has secured rights in several regions including YLE Finland, TV2 Denmark, Quebecor Content Canada, and Yes DBS Israel. Other buyers include Profour Media Distribution for Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, as well as NBCUniversal International Networks & Direct-To-Consumer for Universal TV in Africa, 13ème Rue in France, and Calle 13 in Spain. Additionally, Season 1 of the show has been acquired by AXN Mystery Channel in Japan.

My Life Is Murder, a Greenstone Pictures MLIM production for TVNZ, Acorn TV & DCD Rights, has received support from the New Zealand Government's Screen Production Rebate (NZSPR). The series features Lucy Lawless as Alexa Crowe, a retired detective who delves into cases involving a range of suspects, from eccentric billionaires to tango dancers. Crowe collaborates with her partners-in-crime-solving Madison, charismatic detective Harry, and café owner Reuben.

Rick Barber, head of sales at DCD Rights, expressed enthusiasm for the show's success, highlighting Lucy Lawless' versatile performance and the captivating New Zealand backdrop. With the series already sold to 90 territories across seasons 1-4, the distributor is eager to present the new season to international buyers at the upcoming London event.
