Lucy Kennedy snubs fans' calls for botox and says 'it's just not me'

Lucy Kennedy has told how she’s a botox virgin, despite being urged by fans to sort out the lines in her forehead.

The 43-year old TV and radio star insisted she couldn’t give a hoot about her looks and is happy to never be considered thin.

She told RSVP Magazine: “I haven’t turned to botox – so many people have said, ‘Would you not get it and sort that line in your forehead?’

“But it’s just not me. I’m not against anyone doing what they feel comfortable with, but I just want to look like me.

“I don’t worry about looks – I am never going to be thin, I don’t have it in me. I’m a normal 9¾ stone. I’m not a 10, I’m an 11.

“But while I might give out when I struggle to fit into a pair of jeans, I’m just not willing to sacrifice the takeaways or the glass of wine.”

The brunette beauty joked about flaunting her “fat bottom” on her recent family holiday to Lanzorote.

She said: “I love all the good things in life, I’m a typical Taurus. I looked at myself in a bikini on my holidays and wondered – can I wear a bikini at 43? Should I even be in one with this stomach? I’ll run out now quickly so people can’t see my fat bottom.

“Then I thought, who cares? We all have bottoms.

“I’ve stretch marks, I breastfed, I get into my Penneys pjs... I’m exactly like everyone else.

“I’m a female in the media but the only difference between me and someone beside me is that my job is televised.”

The mum of three is back on our screens for new Living With Lucy this autumn on Virgin Media One.

The line-up includes Grainne Seoige, Nadine Coyle, Barry Keoghan, John Connors and Deirdre O’Kane.

Lucy revealed: “I’ve loved all the guys this time, but I’d great craic with Grainne in South Africa.

“She has a wicked sense of humour and Barry Keoghan is such a good guy.

“I think Grainne will be the big surprise. People might think she is this serious, cold girl but she is not, she is hilarious.”

The stunner admitted she didn’t lament Ireland’s Got Talent getting the chop as she’s flat out on other projects – including a children’s book.

She added: “In hindsight it’s probably a blessing in disguise.”
