Lucy Kennedy shares first look of new Dublin home after navigating lockdown restrictions

Lucy Kennedy shared the first look at her new Dublin home.

The Virgin Media presenter and her husband Richie Governey and their kids- Jack, Holly and Jessica- renovated an old semi-detached house after selling their old family home in October 2019.

And now she has given her fans a glimpse at the interiors and the colour palette she went for after moving in just three months ago.

Lucy opted for a blue theme as she installed panelling in her bathroom.

The deeper blue at the bottom is perfectly complimented by a lighter blue on top.

Lucy stayed near her family home and the home she used to live in with Richie and the kids.

She told RSVP Live recently: "I am still a local Dun Laoghaire girl but we moved into the new house while I was writing my third book, filming this documentary and raising a puppy

"It is an old-fashioned semi detached house and it feels like home already."

Lucy admitted that navigating lockdown restrictions was the most stressful part of the move, especially because they were renting another house while waiting to move.

She said: "Moving in while there were still painters and decorators in the house was quite hard. Because we were in lockdown everything was put on hold and we were paying rent and mortgage on another place so we had to get into the house.

"Like a lot of people, we were in limbo.

"The essential building work was done in February before the lockdown was lifted for builders, like glass being replaced to secure the house. Then we had to wait for April 12 to come for the rest of the building work to continue on and we moved in a month later.

"Having our puppy Riley in our lives made the house move easier because she was a consistent element for the children, once the dog was there the kids were happy."
