Lucy-Jo Hudson introduces baby boy after 'terrifying' birth and addresses talk of 'fallout' with her ex

Lucy-Jo Hudson has introduced her newborn baby boy Carter after a very dramatic birth.

The former Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress has welcomed a son with her partner Lewis Devine.

Lucy, 36, has said in an interview with OK! Magazine that she felt 'out of control' by how fast and painful the birth was.

The actress, who played Katy Armstrong in Corrie and Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks, also addressed reports of a 'fall-out' with her ex Alan Halsall, with whom she shares a six-year-old daughter Sienna.

Lewis, who she met when they appeared together in panto in 2018, appeared to rile Corrie star Alan last month when he described the youngster as 'our Sienna' on social media.

In a since-deleted Instagram story Alan wrote, “You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one and call her your own! But not my daughter.”

Lucy-Jo admits co-parenting with an ex can be 'challenging' and explained why she chose to ignore the comment.

She says the birth was an ordeal when she struggled to become fully dilated and Carter's heart rate and oxygen levels dropped.

She said: "He was getting stuck, we couldn’t get him out.

"A doctor came in and that’s when I knew things had got serious."

Lucy was told she may need to have a C-section, but within 10 minutes she was fully dilated.

"It’s like my body knew how much I wanted him out and safe!" she explained.

Addressing Alan's Instagram post she says she didn't raise the issue the issue with the Tyrone Dobbs actor as she and Lewis were too focused on Carter.

And Lewis says it was just 'press speculation' that there was a fallout.

"I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere," said Lucy-Jo.

"He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it," she said.
