A lucky woman has scooped $2 million on a scratchcard after she said she was sent a sign telling her to buy the winning ticket by her dead dad.
The winner, who doesn't want to be named, says she found a penny outside her home in Hagerstown, Maryland State, US, and believes the coin was a sign from her late father - who had apparently always dreamed of winning big on the lottery.
She said: "The penny was laying heads up. That means it is a lucky penny. We knew it was a penny from heaven."
Identified only by her online alias 'Happy Dog Groomer', the lucky winner said she will share her winnings with her family, as that's what her dad would have done.
She explained her father played lottery games and always had the goal to win enough money to take care of his family.
She was, in fact, on her way to cash in an earlier ticket for her winnings when she spotted the penny by her doorstep.
The find inspired her, and so she bought a $30 (£24) Cash is King instant ticket at the Hub City Liquors store in her home town.
After getting her hands on the ticket, she said she almost used just a random quarter to scratch it off - but stopped herself when she realised it wasn't the right coin, and she had the perfect coin found earlier.
"I almost forgot to use my penny," she said.
"I had to stop scratching with that quarter and grabbed my lucky penny."
And lucky it was.
Just moments later she uncovered a huge $2 million (£1.6 million) panel under one of the numbers on her ticket.
She immediately called her sister to share the exciting news, and the pair collected the money at lottery headquarters in Baltimore earlier this week.
The 'Happy Dog Groomer' is also planning to treat herself to a new house and car with her winnings.
Maryland Lottery officials have also announced the retailer who sold the winning ticket will receive a $2,000 (£1,617) bonus for sharing a top-prize winning ticket.
The officials added: "Happy Dog Groomer is the third top-prize winner in the Cash is King game; two more $2 million (£1.6 million) prizes are unclaimed.
"Players can also seek four remaining $50,000 (£40,430) prizes and others ranging from $30 (£24) to $10,000 (£8,087).
The Cash is King scratch card has 40 chances to win, with those playing having a 1 in 2.93 chance of winning.
All players have to do is match any of their numbers to any one or more of the five winning numbers to win a prize shown for that number.
If players reveal a pot of gold symbol they win five times the prize shown for that symbol.
Uncover a four leaf clover and players win 10 times the prize shown for that symbol. If players managed to reveal a diamond symbol they win all 40 prizes automatically.
